Abdate: This sinful birthday

So they say ladies will always keep their age a secret. When I was younger I was like, puh-lease. Age is wisdom why would someone want to hide it? Fast forward few years later I lied about my age saying that I will always be 18.

Now come to think of it it's the dumbest lie ever because after saying that everyone thought I'm 25 or something, in reality I was only 19 =___=

Yes, yes. Dumb.

So I finally hit the 20 mark. Hooray? Hooray! Means I 'm no longer a teen? YAY!!! *cries*

I guess turning 20 means a beginning of a new chapter. When we were teens, we're allowed to make mistakes, success or failure, it's just going to be one of the phases that you have to go through, and you usually have your parents and teachers backing you up, guiding you along the way. I guess when you turn 20, you start to get a taste of independence. Make your own decisions, your own mistakes. Fail on your own, take pride for your own work. Grow in the process, seize the moment.

It's the era where you can try and try and try. It's the chapter of experimenting.

For the first time in my life, I've made a bucket list. Things to do in my twenties. Super excited. Okay talk about that next time..

This week was feast week! I ate so much now I feel so fat =___= Then again ah, I always feel fat okay. Now it's super fat HAHAHA Who cares.

Went for a barbecue in Rymill Park on Saturday organized by OCF UniSA. It was all Kranzky sausages, onions, chicken wings and bread. Very Aussie!

#hungry

It was super sunny that day! Went home with darker skin tone T______T

My friend, Connie bought the slippers on offer here and it was like AUD$10?!?!?!?! WHAT THE. I bought mine for RM79.90 T____T

Cousins treated me to some yummy Korean dinner for my birthday that weekend!

LOOK AT THEM SPAM

Monday was a public holiday in Adelaide, because of the Adelaide cup. We Malaysians decided that it's the best time to have a potluck HAHAHA Why are we always eating -.-

Each of us brought a dish and we had a feast!!!

Tuna & tomato bruchettaaaaaaaa

Spagetti that I helped cook! Actually I only boiled the water HAHAHA

My banana muffins!

Our table!
Rest of the food are chicken stir-fry, mashed potato, garlic bread, fruits and drinks!

Typical thing to do before we eat.

After lunch we cleaned up and then played random ping pong -.- It began with all of us but then later the room cleared up and left 5 of us or something I can't remember. Then suddenly the rest of them came back with a birthday cake for me and Jon. Wah.

Jon's birthday is a day before mine hahaha what a small world.

This is FIFTY SHADES OF SIN!

Yeap, so like that lah. They all conned me to go for the lunch HAHAHA and ended up helping me celebrate my birthday. Hooorayyyyyy for cake! And good friends, of course.

Nah the Oscar's best actors and actresses

I say that because my friends back home tell me it's very hard for them to give me a surprise. Because I always smell something fishy and ask them tons of questions until they freak out HAHAHA or that I just get the feeling that something is gonna happen. So yeah yeah. These friends really did caught me off guard lah hahaha or maybe I paid too much attention to ping pong (of which I suck in D:)

SO. THE. CHOCOLATE.

The evening of my birthday, my cousin and I went out for Hungry Jack's, of which I had yesterday too. My stomach is full of junk now HAHAHA As I am typing this, I'm having chocolate milk. Probably one of the best things in a milk carton. hehehe

That's a wrap. Thank you for the birthday wishes on Facebook, the phone calls and Skype calls and Instagram shout outs. :) THANK YOU THANK YOU I LILY FEEL LOVED OKAYYYY!!

Abdate : MH370

Need I explain more about the title? I bet not. Everyone seems to be following the news online, whether or not you have anyone you know on the flight.

I can't imagine how. The pain and anxiety the loved ones of passengers and crew are going through right now. I know no one on that flight, but couldn't sleep at night just thinking about their well-being and safety.

Can they ever find the plane?

No one knows. Praying seems hopeless. It's not. Every prayer will be heard, and prayer stirs up hope. When you are as helpless as I am right now about the missing flight, then I guess prayer is the only way to ease at least an inch of worry.

Why do these things always happen when my birthday is approaching? I haven't had a worry-less birthday in years =___=

I remember two or three years back there was a tsunami and my city was also warned that we might be hit as well. That was a day before my birthday and I was supposed to have a party at my place the next. I got so freaked out during the day the tsunami hit I couldn't sleep. I almost cancelled the party because I kept thinking about those who lost their shelter and food to the big waves :( I remember not having the appetite to eat.

Last year it was about the Sulu Invasion. Friends in Lahad Datu had to shut their business for the week, some flew to KK or KL for safety, friends from overseas ringed us to check if we were okay. Some people weren't affected by it, some never bothered and had tremendous faith in our defense system. Not me. I am no doubt, a worrier. When a good offer is given to me, I doubt it a million times before I cautiously accept it. When something bad is thrown to me, I think of the worst consequences that a human brain can possibly come up. I don't think much, but when it comes to bad stuff, I think too much. Spent my 19th birthday having thoughts about gunmen and explosions and chaos in our land.

My results for STPM are soon to be released, I know I did okay but I still fear of getting all Fs in the final transcript =____= Which is impossible, but then, I am still me and I can't help fearing for the worst.

Yesterday my friend asked me if I had anything I wanted from home for my birthday, all I could think of was for MH370 to arrive somewhere, safely.

Is that too great of a wish?
